Glasgow: Panic! At The Disco

26/03/2019

Panic! At The Disco came to Glasgow on Sunday the 24th March and we were lucky enough to get tickets. I've always loved the band and their music so I was really excited to be seeing them live.

In the bar at the Crowne Plaza, Glasgow.

On Sunday we went out early to see Glasgow. Taxis were pretty often right at the front door and I used the Uber app which was really easy. We went to Buchanan Galleries and there was a brilliant little music shop there with lots of ukuleles which I couldn't not go into. Then we headed back to the hotel to get ready for the show.

Doors opened at 6.30 but we decided to go in later. They weren't due to come on until 8.50 so it would have been a lot of waiting around and it would have been far too busy. I hate big crowds so turning up that little bit later kind of got rid of the worry as most people were already in their seats. We got shown to our seats where we had loads of space although our view was quite restricted because of how far round we were but we knew this already because the show was pretty much sold out so tickets were limited. The band came out onto the front though so we did actually see them quite a lot.

The actual gig on the other hand was amazing! They even performed 'Bohemian Rhapsody' which was just brilliant. During their song, 'Girls/Girls/Boys' everyone had a paper heart that was to be held up with your phone torch shining through and it came out as a massive rainbow as everyone in the different sections had a different colour.

After the show we waited back five minutes to let the busy crowds out but as soon as we got downstairs it was still really busy.

The hotel we stayed in was only a five minute walk from the Hydro so we didn't need to worry too much about getting back. The hotel was very accessible too, our room was big enough for my wheelchair and it had a wet room and the staff were really helpful.

We were on the fourteenth floor so we had a really good view.
